Digital transformation is on the move in Georgia. Qualcomm Technologies recently collaborated with Jacobs and Peachtree Corners (home to the nation’s most advanced smart city ecosystems) on end-to-end C-V2X solutions. The implementation showcases the benefits of C-V2X communications in a real-world setting at scale, including advanced traffic efficiency and improved roadside safety.
Increasingly, cities are coming under pressure to cut costs and be more efficient, but that can’t happen at the expense of the quality of services it provides its citizens. And with increasing environmental concerns and sustainability considerations, this can be quite a challenge. That’s where technology comes in. AT&T, working with Qualcomm Technologies and Jacobs, implemented an advanced metering solution for a pilot program of 500 houses in drought-prone Gwinnett County, GA. The results: a reduction in waste and costs and improved water safety.
