A year of extraordinary societal change heightened the need for innovation and connectivity. Technology that may have taken years to implement happened in a matter of months — across sectors and industries, including smart cities and smart connected spaces. Qualcomm Technologies’ Senior Director and Head of Smart Cities Sanjeet Pandit shares his excitement in being part of this digital transformation. Hear from him about how Qualcomm is helping invent the end-to-end solutions, programs, and events that are delivering greater efficiencies, cost savings, safety, and sustainability.
A Q&A with Sanjeet Pandit, our head of smart cities
It’s no secret that the IoT industry is fragmented. This makes it challenging for people, organizations, and cities to find efficient ways to locate and implement the best end-to-end IoT solutions specific to their needs. Sanjeet Pandit, Qualcomm’s head of smart cities, sat down for a Q&A where he shared what the company is doing to help, from the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program to our Qualcomm IoT Services Suite.
Qualcomm Smart Campus: Demonstrating what’s possible
One of the biggest challenges facing local governments and enterprises interested in making their cities and spaces smarter is choosing the technologies. It’s one of the reasons we were excited to officially launch and demonstrate our Qualcomm Smart Campus at the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerate 2020 virtual event. Qualcomm’s Sanjeet Pandit and Infinite Computer Solutions’ Vice President and Chief Architect Srini Samudrala walked the audience through the campus, which replicates a smart city environment and features commercially available end-to-end solutions.
